Meet Dr Sara Moustafa and Tarek Awad, the team behind Sunset Dental.
PRINCIPAL DENTIST
Dr Sara Moustafa
General dentistry, with an interest in thoughtful treatment planning and helping patients understand their options.
Sara’s professional background includes general dental practice in Australia, New Zealand and Canada, alongside earlier experience in Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Her résumé records a Bachelor of Dentistry and Oral Surgery from Ain Shams University and Canadian National Dental Examining Board equivalency.
Her continuing education includes implant dentistry, Invisalign and iTero coursework, endodontics and impacted wisdom-teeth management. These courses inform her interests in general practice; they are not claims of specialist registration.
Sara aims to bring a patient, approachable manner to appointments, including visits with children and people who feel worried about dental treatment.
She speaks English and Arabic. Her résumé also lists intermediate French.
PRACTICE MANAGER & TREATMENT COORDINATOR
Tarek Awad
Helping you navigate the practical side of your care.
Tarek manages administration and supports patients with appointments and the arrangements around their treatment plans. You can speak with him about scheduling, understanding the steps outlined by Sara and organising your visits.
His role at Sunset Dental is non-clinical. Dental assessment, diagnosis, treatment recommendations and procedures are provided by the treating dentist.
